uPVC Windows and Doors Measuring guide
All measurements must be Metric (mm) and all styles of uPVC window/ door must be as viewed from outside, especially important for hinge positions.
Measure the width and height of the opening from the outside; check this dimension at 3 or 4 different points across the frame, checking for any protruding brickwork. Deduct 10mm off the smallest measurement, from both the width and height.
If the property is rendered, it is necessary to chip away the render to expose the frame for accurate measurements.
If your uPVC window is to be fitted directly under the soffit you will need to ensure that the fascia board is not more than 20mm below the soffit, as it will affect the opening of side hung openings. If it is, please advise us so we can make the necessary adjustments.
Note that all height measurements must include the cill and any knock-on if required. All width measurements must include any knock-on required to the sides.

If you are ordering box sash window or sliding sash window please call for advice on how to measure these.
